Some installations of Moon Phases don't work as well with Internet Explorer. If you are still using IE this would be a good time to switch to Firefox browser.

The lunar image is updated every 4 hours so the time displayed is as of the first hour of each four hour interval as seen from the Northern hemishpere.

Click on the image of the moon to access a calendar which will let you see the predicted phase of the moon on your selected date. For dates before 1970 or after 2038 use the date setting in edit mode instead.

Here are the settings in the edit mode:

When: any reasonable representation of a date between 1800 and 2199 AD. Leave it blank to see the current phase. You can also do things like "today +14 days" to see what the moon will look like two weeks from now.

TimeZoneOffset: this server is based in the Eastern time zone of the United States so if you live in California try an offset of -3. If you live in London try an offset of +5
